Alessandro Santilli (Alex Venders) was born in Rieti (Italy) in April 1992 and from an early age shows a great interest in percussion and music in general. After playing guitar and keyboards for a few years, begins his approach to drums in 2006 at the age of 14. Right from the start, shows a great musical talent, and a few months later begin to play for local bands. His first studio experience takes place in 2007 and subsequently, he begins to perform in many concerts such as numerous performances at the Flavio Vespasiano theater in Rieti for local televisions and the Roma Fiction Fest (national TV) with classical and mordern orchestra. In 2009 he joins the band Embrace Of Disharmony, recording an EP and playing in various places around Rome. In April 2010 he meets Raphael Saini (Iced Earth, Cripple Bastards,..) and begin to study with him and starting to understand for real the meaning of to be a professional drummer. Carrying out several projects, in December 2010 he's called by the band Lackadaisical, to get on a mini tour in Europe with legendary Gorgoroth and Belphegor. After joined a couple of new bands, during 2011 he perform many gigs as Sabina Metal Fest, Viadana Open Air and Vulgar Fest. At the end of the year Alex records and produces the EP of FunKaos, his very own instrumental funk/rock trio, in which he plays a drum duet with the John Macaluso (Malmsteen, Symphony X, Ark,..). In 2012 takes part of the "Italian Agony Tour" of Fleshgod Apocalypse with Lahmia as main support act; in the same year he does a drum clinic with John Macaluso, records the first album of Necrotorture (Sevared Records) and recorded a promo with his new band Devangelic. In 2013 starts to be known in many parts of Europe as a session drummer; he records an Ep for Indecent Excision (Permeated Records), playing with them in a double gig in June at Houten Deathfest , Holland, (he played even with Vomitous (SWE) without rehearsals), opening for Dying Fetus in July and performing in London in August. In July he also did a crazy session with the English thrash metal band, Furnaze; they called him 1 day and half before an headlining gig in Malaga, so he had to learn 11 songs in less than 24h and fly to Spain. The gig went so good, so that he was called to play with them for the Blackest of All tour 2013 hitting many places around Europe. By the end of the year he’s called again to play drums for Vomitous on “European Deformity Tour”. 2014 starts very busy for Alex, he recorded 3 full-length Cds, performing many festivals like “Rock The Hell” and “Nice To Eat You”, and toured Europe in May with Vomitous. In June he joins the Usa Comatour 2014 playing for Devangelic in the most part of the US for 20 days and again in September he tours Europe with Devangelic and performs many big festival as “Carnage Feast”, “Berlin Deathfest” and “Gothenburg Deathfest”. At the end of the year he records for the Californian artist Gus Mc Arthur, and he’s recuited by the Norwegian band Fermented Masturbation as live and studio session drummer. In the beginning of 2015 Alex performs a drum clinic in Utrecht (HOL) and plays many shows and festivals around Europe, recording 2 EPs for Ars Macabra (ITA) and Osmosis (SPA). In July he’s hired by Vulvectomy (ITA) to play on their “Abusing Europe Tour” the band’s first long European run and their first time with a real drummer.
